Welcome to the Office of Dual Enrollment

At Del Mar College, the Dual Enrollment Programs allow high school students to take college-level courses to earn both high school and college credit at the same time. This allows students to follow a college pathway for access to higher education and/or career goals. Participation in dual enrollment can in improve high school graduation rates, provide more opportunities for the families of the community, and reduce time to receiving a degree or credential.

About the Department

The Dual Enrollment Program offers motivated high school students the opportunity to get a head start on their college journey—while still earning their high school diploma. By enrolling in college-level courses, students can explore academic interests, challenge themselves with advanced coursework, and earn credits that count toward both high school graduation and a college credential of value.

How To Apply

  • Talk with your high school counselor, to see if your high school is partnered with DMC.
  • Apply Online - ApplyTexas Application
  • Test-TSIA2, ACT, and SAT are all tests we accept. These assessments help us determine your current academic level. Every college course has REM-level requirements, so we want to ensure that you are well prepared to succeed in the course in which we enroll you.
  • High School Transcript-Provide an official high school transcript.
  • Meningitis Vaccine-Students under the age of 21 enrolled in a Texas Public Institution are required to have the Meningitis Vaccine or Meningitis Exemption Form.
  • Dual Enrollment Registration Form-Talk with your high school counselor or Dual Enrollment Coordinator about registering for classes, the classes you decide to take will go on your registration form.
