Student Right to Know Act

According to federal regulations, colleges and universities that administer federal Title IV funds must disclose certain information to prospective and enrolled students, parents and employees. The student consumer information includes:

• Campus Security Information and Crime Statistics 
• Drug and Alcohol Policy 
• Financial Aid Availability 
• Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Information 
• Graduation and Transfer Rates 
• Voter Registration Form 
• Computer and Network Resources Statement of Acceptable Use

Printed Campus Security information and a current crime report are available in the Office of the Dean of Student Engagement and Retention, Harvin Student Center Room 204, Del Mar College East Campus. Uniform standards for cost and faculty evaluations (House Bill 2504)

Texas Legislative action requires public colleges and universities to provide cost and faculty evaluation information using uniform standards so you can easily compare these factors for all state institutions. House Bill 2504 stipulates providing information on the cost of attendance and student course evaluations of faculty to be posted online for easy access.

The U.S. Department of Education requires colleges to disclose a variety of information for any financial aid eligible program that "prepares students for gainful employment in a recognized occupation."
