Course Descriptions
Basic Keyboarding
Keyboarding has become a necessary skill for education and most careers. Course focuses on typing skills to improve focus and demonstrate basic keyboarding techniques. Students learn repetitive typing skills in keyboarding to increase accuracy, efficiency, and increase typing speeds.
Microsoft Excel (Focused)
Microsoft Excel is the industry leading spreadsheet software program, a powerful data visualization and analysis tool. Instruction in terminology, moving and copying cells, sorting mathematical, statistical, and financial functions; date and time arithmetic; report generation; and built-in graphics support are reviewed throughout the course.
Integrated Software Applications II: Microsoft Office
Microsoft Office is the go-to computer software for work, school, and personal use. The course can be used to learn new skills or use as a refresher. Students will learn word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and/or presentation software. All instruction will be taught using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.
Computerized Accounting I: QuickBooks
An introduction to the accounting cycle in a computerized environment. Class will guide students with little to no QuickBooks knowledge through the software and familiarizes them with the program.
Computerized Accounting II: Quickbooks
QuickBooks is a business and financial management suite. This course shows students how to create accounts, computerized accounting functions, and designing and formatting within the QuickBooks software. Use of the computer to develop and maintain accounting records and to process common business applications for managerial decision-making will be reviewed.
Quickbooks payroll, taxes & Reports
QuickBooks is widely regarded as a very useful software for businesses. This course shows students how to set up payroll, create invoices, analyze financial data, and sales taxes using both desktop and online QuickBooks software.
