Pressure Vessel Inspection reviews general principles of pressure vessel inspection; covers American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and American Petroleum Institute (API) documents that pertain to pressure vessel inspection; emphasis will be on preparing students to take the API 510 certification examination.
NDTE 2039 – Pressure Piping Inspection (API 570)
Pressure Piping Inspection reviews general principles of pressure vessel inspection; covers American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and American Petroleum Institute (API) documents that pertain to pressure piping inspection in preparation for the API 570 certification examination.
METL 1091 – Corrosion and Materials (API 571)
The corrosion and Materials will prepare individuals to take the API 571Corrosion and Materials certification. Review of damage mechanisms seen in the refining, petrochemical, pulp, and paper industries including corrosion, cracking, mechanical fatigue, and brittle fracture.
NDTE 2011 – Welding Processes, Inspection, and Metallurgy (API 577)
The Welding Processes, inspection, and Metallurgy course will train students for API 577 certification in Welding Processes, Inspection, and Metallurgy. Topics include welding inspection and code, welding fundamentals and processes, welding materials and welding non destructive testing.
PTRT 2025 - Risk Based Inspection (RBI) (API 580)
The Risk Based Inspection course will train professionals across the entire petrochemical industry on preparing for the API 580 Risk Based Inspection Certification. Topics covered include planning and data for RBI, hazards associated with the petroleum industry, risk determination and management, and documentation and record keeping.
QCTC 1046 – Tank Repair & Inspection - Aboveground Storage Tanks (API 653)
The tank repair and inspection for aboveground storage tanks course will review testing and inspection systems related to aboveground storage tanks and preparing individuals to take the API 653 Tank and Repair Inspection certification. Items covered include corrosion, joint efficiencies, hot tapping, settlement evaluation, impact testing, tank shells, and inspection tools used in illustrating the need for maintaining the quality of the tank.
OSHT 1007 - Pipeline Construction Inspector (API 1169)
Pipeline Construction Inspector will review safety requirements for pipeline construction sites and preparing individuals to take the API 1169 Pipeline Construction Inspector certification. Items covered include pressure testing, quality management, pipeline transportation systems, welding safety, and construction safety guidelines.
PTRT 1012 - API Tank Entry Supervisor (TES)
API Task Entry Supervisor course will train student to effectively manage petroleum tank entry and maintenance work. Items covered include tank decommissioning, state and federal regulatory requirements, venting, OSHA regulatory requirements for confined spaces, emergency response, and recommissioning.
