Note: Tuition fee does not include cost of uniform, books/supplies, equipment, as well as for completing the Police Academy Application Packet. Additional cost for which is estimated at $1500-$2000.

Installment Plan

Payment plans are available for the FALL and SPRING semesters only. You will need to pay one half down and the other half is divided into two (2) equal payments. Find details here on enrolling and other helpful information about payment plans.

Financial Aid

You can apply for financial aid and see if you are awarded any money to cover some or all of the cost. Check the Financial Aid website and/or call Financial Aid at 698-1746 or 698-1726 to inquire about deadlines, requirements, and other helpful information.

Veterans Services

You can apply for Veterans benefits at our DMC Veterans Services Department. For help, call 698-1683 or 698-1250 or check the Veterans Services website.

Tuition Payment Deadlines

It is the student’s responsibility to know the tuition payment due dates. Deadlines can be found in the Academic Calendar and through your WebDMC account.

POLICE ACADEMY APPLICATION DEADLINE

You will be given a deadline to submit the Police Academy application packet. It is your responsibility to plan accordingly to meet the deadline.

STUDENT Account (WebDMC)

After you have been accepted as Del Mar College student, you must establish your student account (WebDMC). For assistance with this, visit the Student Account page. Please note that the Police Academy contacts all cadets through student email, rarely by phone.

DISMISSAL FROM THE POLICE ACADEMY

Please note that the Academy does not run like other college courses. We have a standard to meet and regulations to follow from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. This will be covered more in depth by the training staff.
