Hazlewood Information

The Hazlewood Act is a State of Texas benefit that provides qualified veterans, spouses, and dependent children with an education benefit of up to 150 credit-hours of tuition exemption, including most fee charges, at public institutions of higher education in Texas. This benefit does NOT include living expenses, books, or supply fees. The eligibility requirements for each Hazlewood Act benefit differ and are drawn from the Hazlewood Act Statute and 40 Texas Administrative Code §461, and can be found on the Texas Veterans Commission Hazlewood Act website.

Also, read and fill out the GI Bill and Hazlewood Act Information Sheet & Disclaimer (Electronic Webform). These forms will need to be completed every semester that you wish to enroll in classes.
