The DMC Viking Vanguard program aims to provide leadership experience for students. Members support DMC events and activities, engage via social media, and represent the DMC brand positively. The program offers opportunities for personal and professional development, requiring members to participate in various capacities and attend training on DMC resources.
Eligibility
- Must be a DMC student for at least one semester before applying.
- Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Be in good academic standing.
- Commit to being a Viking Vanguard member for the full semester.
- Attend all trainings and assigned events or activities.
Conduct
As representatives of DMC, Viking Vanguard members have unique leadership opportunities for personal and professional growth. Members are expected to demonstrate exemplary behavior, a service-oriented attitude, and a willingness to assist prospective and current students, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders.
College Duties
Duties include leading campus tours, supporting events and activities, assisting with outreach and registrations, providing wayfinding, and engaging on social media, among others. Viking Vanguard members will receive a $1,000 stipend per academic year for their participation ($500 per semester) .
