Outreach and Consultation
The Counseling staff provide workshops and trainings for student groups and classes, academic departments and administrative units on a variety of mental health issues, as well as, providing information on how to refer students for counseling. We also provide information tables and presentations.

- Conflict Resolution
- Dating Violence/Sexual Assault
- Suicide Prevention
- Mental Health Wellness

CONSULTATION SERVICES
The Counseling Center staff is available to consult with individuals (faculty, students, or staff) and groups about issues that involve the welfare of a student or group of students. We are happy to discuss your needs for consultation and provide any assistance appropriate to your situation. For more information, call the Counseling Center at 361-698-1586. Some general examples of previous consultations include:
- Concern about a roommate or friend
- Communications skills within a campus organization
- Difficulties between faculty and students
- Difficulties between staff and students
