Peer Tutoring

Student Success Center Peer Tutors are current Del Mar College students dedicated to helping their peers succeed. Being an effective Tutor requires a positive attitude, a genuine desire to help others, and the patience to guide students through their learning journey.

Peer Tutor Qualifications

• Upon hire, tutors receive training and certification through the nationally acclaimed College Reading and Learning Association - International Tutor Training Program.
• Have an overall GPA of 3.0 to 4.0, are currently enrolled, and have an "A" or "B" in the subject area they are tutoring.
