President's Council

Why Join the President's Council?

President’s Council includes individuals and businesses in our community who believe in the education excellence and the value Del Mar College has on the local workforce, community and in students' lives. It provides a leadership giving opportunity to support the College president in advancing the mission and vision of the college in ways that are generally lacking the funding to accomplish.

President's Council Funds Two Areas:

President's Excellence Fund

The President’s Excellence Fund empowers Del Mar College President & CEO, Mark Escamilla, Ph.D. to reach a level of excellence in advancing the College’s mission and vision. Examples include community involvement, unexpected programmatic needs or opportunities, and faculty or student needs.

Presidential Scholars Scholarship

Presidential Scholars Scholarship is a distinguished scholarship that is awarded to DMC students engaging in campus and/or community service-leadership experiences.

Membership Categories

• President’s Counselor - $10,000
  • Excellence Fund - $7,500
  • Presidential Scholar - $2,500
• President’s Advocate - $5,000
  • Excellence Fund - $4,000
  • Presidential Scholar - $1,000
• President’s Benefactor - $2,500
  • Excellence Fund - $2,000
  • Presidential Scholar - $500
• Individual - Corporate Leader - $1,000
  • Excellence Fund - $750
  • Presidential Scholar - $250
