Why Join the President's Council?

President’s Council members recognize the vital role of Del Mar College in higher education and appreciate the excellence in education provided at Del Mar College.

President Council contributions help:

  • Assist the President in his community work promoting the college
  • Fund unexpected opportunities that benefit the college and students
  • Support the annual Aileen Creighton Award for Teaching Excellence
  • Provide assistance to our students unfulfilled by other funding, such as expenses associated with fellowship invitations and scholastic competition

For your gift you will receive:

  • Invitations to exclusive President’s Council Special Events including behind-the-scenes events
  • Recognition at special events
  • News and Communication from the President’s Office
  • Unique opportunities to interact with the President

Members make a yearly financial contribution to the President’s Council to support President Mark Escamilla’s efforts to bring the Del Mar story to important audiences throughout the year ─ audiences who can help build our community and our community college. Anyone may make a contribution to the President's Council, but membership depends on donations that fall within one of the four categories below.

  • $10,000 as a President’s Counselor
  • $5,000 as a President’s Advocate
  • $2,500 as a President’s Benefactor
