Hicks Layton received a BBA and MPA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a licensed CPA. He returned to Corpus Christi in 2021 to carry on his family’s legacy in the automotive industry that his grandparents, Ed and Gloria Hicks, started in 1966. After working through and becoming intimately familiar with each department in the dealership, he currently serves as a Finance/Sales manager at Ed Hicks Infiniti and Internet Sales Director for all five stores that comprise Hicks Automotive Group.

In addition to the Del Mar College Foundation, he also serves on the board of directors for the USS Lexington, Foster Angels of South Texas, and the vestry of Church of the Good Shepherd. He also volunteers at Gloria Hicks Elementary School.

In his free time, Hicks enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with his dogs, and playing golf.
