Drue Jones brings a lifetime of academic, professional, and civic leadership to the Corpus Christi community. She retired in 2021 as an Associate Professor Emeritus after a distinguished 43‑year career at Del Mar College, where she taught in the Business Administration department and helped shape generations of students through her commitment to education and practical business knowledge. Her academic background includes a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in Adult Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, reflecting a strong foundation in leadership, learning, and public service.

Beyond academia, Drue has built an equally notable career in real estate. She co‑owned a local brokerage firm with a diverse portfolio that included residential sales, property management, and specialized professional services such as appraisals and expert witness testimony for litigation. Her leadership in the field extended to serving as President of the Corpus Christi Association of Realtors, where she played a key role in guiding and strengthening the local real estate industry.

Drue’s dedication to public service is evident through her long‑standing civic involvement. She has served the community in several impactful roles, including Advisory Director for Rally Credit Union, Past Chairman of the Corpus Christi Ethics Commission, and Past Chairman of the Corpus Christi Sister City Committee. A graduate of Leadership Corpus Christi, Class XV, Drue continues to be recognized for her thoughtful leadership, community engagement, and lasting contributions to the region.
