What is Alpha Beta Gamma?

Alpha Beta Gamma National Business Honor Society is the sole business honor society for accredited junior, community, and technical colleges. The society exists to recognize and reward academic excellence among business honor students and to recognize the contribution to learning by professors and business professionals.

What are the requirements needed to join Alpha Beta Gamma?

  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Business or Eligible Major (see list - ABG Eligible Disciplines)
  • Must have completed 12 earned credit hours leading towards Business degree

What are the benefits to joining ABG?

  • Recognition of individual academic achievement

What does Del Mar's chapter (Alpha Psi) dedicate themselves to?

ABG Alpha Psi is involved in supporting Junior Achievement, scholarship fundraisers, hosting business forums with guest speakers as a learning tool for business majors, and camaraderie.

How do I apply to ABG?

Contact the ABG President or an ABG Advisor to fill out an easy application.

Are there any fees to become a member?

There is a one-time $70.00 fee. ($39.00 are national dues; the balance is used by the Alpha Psi Chapter to support local ABG activities.)

When does ABG meet?

ABG meets at various days and times throughout the semester, usually in the Venters Business Building. We understand that students have class so meetings are not mandatory.

Are there any rules for attending meetings?

Meetings are not mandatory. We do value the member's input and participation at meetings. There are membership incentives for attending, but your participation level is dictated by you.
