Meet Kelley Bazemore

In Spring 2025, Dr. Bazemore successfully achieved Certified Nurse Educator status. Congratulations Dr. Bazemore!!

Assistant Professor Bazemore earned her PhD in Nursing Science in Fall of 2024, with her dissertation titled "The Impact of Emergency Remote Learning During the COVID-19 Pandemic on Student Learning Outcomes in an Associate Degree Nursing Program: A Retrospective Study Using Secondary Data Analysis."

In April 2023, the Alpha Delta chapter (University of Texas Medical Branch - Galveston, School of Nursing) of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing awarded Kelley Bazemore a $500 research grant.

Teaching and Learning in Nursing accepted "Impact of Emergency Remote Teaching on NCLEX-RN Exam First-Attempt Success" (in press) by Kelley Bazemore and Huey-Ming Tzeng, RN, PhD for publication in August 2023: Impact of Emergency Remote Teaching on NCLEX-RN Exam First-Attempt Succuss (in press).

Kelley Bazemore presented "Physically-distanced learning in a pandemic: Impact on First-time NCLEX-RN Success" at the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing 47th Biennial Convention in November 2023.
