Scholarships - Kinesiology

The KHSR department offers two scholarships for eligible students. Scholarships are awarded during the spring for the following fall semester.

Students must complete the General Scholarship Application. The deadline to apply for these scholarships is April 30. The grade point average requirement for these awards is a 2.5 or better.

Recipients are selected by the Kinesiology Department and recognized at the Recognition Day Ceremony.

Dr. Patricia A. Schmitt Kinesiology, Health Studies, and Recreation

Awarded annually to a sophomore majoring in Kinesiology. The recipient must be active in KHSR and/or Intramural participation. Selection is based on academic achievement.

Troy Halliburton Memorial Scholarship

Awarded annually to a sophomore majoring in KHSR. This scholarship fund was established in 1987 in memory of Troy Halliburton, a former professor in the Department of Kinesiology, Health Studies, and Recreation.
