*The published timeframe for completion is based on a student attending 5 consecutive semesters and the CDEC program has not found this to be the norm for most candidates in the program. Typically, most candidates attend part-time due to work and personal circumstances and take 9-10 semesters to complete the program. Many students do not enroll in the summer semester, while others may need additional developmental education classes that may take another or semester or two beyond the 5 semesters. Since the onset of COVID-19, the percentage of part-time candidates has increased to 87.5%, while full-time students declined to 12.5%.
