Program Overview
Del Mar College provides training in the field of Architectural Technology for those who wish to enter into the building industry. Students gain education to prepare them for careers which allow them to assist architects, engineers, and construction professionals. The curriculum offers a learned experience in computer-aided drafting and design (CAD), building information modeling (BIM), parametric modeling, drawing conventions and standards, construction materials and methods, building codes, and more.
In addition to an Associate of Applied Science degree in Architectural Technology, Del Mar College offers a pre-professional Associate in Science degree in Architecture. This program is the suggested transfer plan to follow if a student wishes to seek a professional degree in the field of architecture and then go on to become an architect.
Admission & Advising
Students interested in enrolling in the Architecture program at Del Mar College must first submit a completed application packet (PDF) to the Architecture, Aviation, and Automotive Department office located at STEM-101C on the Oso Creek Campus. This application includes all program information, admission requirements, and guidelines.
