Texas Real Estate is managed by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). This agency sets forth guidelines, policies, and procedures for Real Estate in Texas. Del Mar College offers education contact hours as outlined by TREC. All Real Estate Salesperson applicants are required to complete 180 hours of education. Del Mar College offers the required hours over a six-class Real Estate program. Courses are held on a rotating basis.

In-Person: Classes are instructor-led on campus.
Each class cost: $242.00
DEARBORN Pay as You Go: Classes are 100% online, begin the first week of every month, and the purchase option allows registration per course. Complete one course and pay as you go, then move on to the next. Student have six months to complete each course including exams.

Per the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC), students must be:
18 years of age or older
A citizen of the United States or lawfully admitted alien
A resident of Texas
A criminal history may make you ineligible for a real estate license. Prior to enrolling in classes, students may request a criminal history evaluation by submitting a Fitness Determination form to TREC prior to applying for a license. For more information visit the TREC website.

Upon successful completion of the Del Mar College Real Estate Program, students can submit required course completion documentation and Texas Real Estate License application to TREC. Once approved by TREC, students can take the exam to become a licensed Real Estate Salesperson. Testing information
Students have one year from the date of submitting the TREC Real Estate Salesperson License exam to meet all 180 hours of education.
