Texas Clear Water Oyster Gardens

Texas Clear Water Oyster Gardens is setting a new standard for sustainable seafood along the Texas Gulf Coast. Owned by Bill and Amelia Strieber, the business is only the ninth permitted oyster farm in Texas and the first to operate out of Port Aransas. Their oysters are cultivated in the clean, oxygen-rich waters of Aransas Bay using modern practices that support exceptional quality while protecting the surrounding coastal ecosystem.

Bill and Amelia began working with Vicki Pannone, Certified Business Advisor III, and the Del Mar College SBDC in March 2024. Through one-on-one guidance, they strengthened their business plan, evaluated site options, developed their financial management skills, and received marketing support to build their outreach and branding. The Striebers shared that Vicki’s wisdom and encouragement helped them approach the financial side of their growing business with greater confidence.

Texas Clear Water Oyster Gardens officially launched in June 2024 and now supplies restaurants across the region, sells directly to the public, offers farm tours, and participates in community events. By combining innovation, hands-on care, and respect for Texas’ coastal waters, Bill and Amelia are building a business that contributes to the Coastal Bend’s seafood and tourism industries while helping shape a new tradition in locally grown oysters.
