Request for Comments by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)

The Del Mar College Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene Programs are soliciting third-party comments in preparation for their April 2-4, 2024 site visit by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).

Students, faculty, and other interested parties of the Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene Programs may submit an appropriate comment to the Commission on Dental Accreditation. An appropriate comment is one that directly addresses the program’s compliance with the Commission’s standards, policies and procedures. The Commission on Dental Accreditation will review comments that relate to a program’s compliance with the accreditation standards. The Commission is interested in the sustained quality and continued improvement of dental and dental-related education programs but does not intervene on behalf of individuals or act as a court of appeal for treatment received by patients or individuals in matters of admission, appointment, promotion or dismissal of faculty, staff or students. A copy of the appropriate accreditation standards and/or the Commission’s policy on third-party comments may be obtained by contacting the Commission by calling 1-312-440-4653 or by email. Deadline for submission is sixty (60) days prior to the site visit – February 2, 2024.
