Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment

Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment

The Strategic Planning and Institutional Research (SPIR) Office coordinates ongoing evaluation for the purpose of improving the quality of the College's instructional, administrative and educational support programs to ensure that outcomes achieved are consistent with the mission and goals of DMC. Student learning outcomes assessment provides the major mechanism for gauging institutional effectiveness, and includes learning outcomes assessment at the institutional and program levels. SPIR also provides support and leadership for the systematic review of all academic programs that award a degree or certificate.
