Student Success

Student Success is a course designed to help students make a successful transition from high school to college. Students enrolled in English 0307 are also enrolled in Student Success.

The course creates opportunities for students to evaluate their own college readiness, strengthen basic academic skills, improve organizational abilities, develop effective time management, engage in education planning, and learn about available resources.

Some Things Students Do in Student Success

  • Learn strategies to manage time and stress
  • Attend a cultural event
  • Learn to use the library and use research tools
  • Strengthen academic skills including note-taking and test-taking.
  • Visit important campus resources
  • Develop career and educational plans
