Safety

These safety programs provide the opportunity for industry customers to develop a better-trained and safety-centric workforce. The course curriculum is designed to improve operations for the company and create a safer work environment.

  • NCCER + OSHA

    General Industry

    Provides a study of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration
    (OSHA) regulations pertinent to general industry.

    Construction Industry

    Provides a study of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration
    (OSHA) regulations pertinent to the construction industry.

    NCCER CORE +OSHA 10

  • Fire Brigade

    Provides basic firefighting skills required for industrial fire brigade personnel, utilizing basic fire suppression and safety equipment, demonstrating fire suppression techniques and rescue procedures, and identifying procedures for emergency evacuations in the industrial setting.

  • NIMS Site Management

    Provides an overview of the incident command management system and responsibilities. Provides an understanding of command and general staff function and describes the management system components, functions, and procedures which includes working and communicating within the incident management system.

  • HAZWOPER / Refresher

    Provides technical instruction in the storage and handling of hazardous materials, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, notification procedures associated with emergency response plans, labeling, manifesting, placarding, spill containment, and proper use of personal protective equipment and instrumentation. Meets federal regulations and minimum certification requirements of a hazardous material emergency response technician, hazardous materials specialist, or on‐site incident commander as found in the Code of Federal
    Regulations: 29CFR‐1910.120.

  • Forklift

    Information and training for forklift operators including forklift design, controls and instrumentation, comprehensive pre‐use inspection, and forklift stability and factors affecting stability. Demonstration of safe operations of forklift including operating requirements, use of controls, steering and drive mechanism, lifting techniques, and safety measures and hands‐on training and demonstration of proficiency.

  • Aerial Lift

    Provides orientation and hands on training for the safe operation of the mechanical lift, as well as description of the procedures used to safely perform mechanical lift tasks.

  • Rope Rescue

    Provides instruction on the safe use of rescue equipment and the safety of personnel during any technical rescue encountered. Combination of didactic and hands‐on learning opportunities.

  • Trench Rescue

    Provides instruction on the safe use of rescue equipment and the safety of personnel during the shoring up the sides of a trench, and digging a trapped worker out of a collapsed ditch. Combination of didactic and hands‐on learning opportunities.

  • CPR / First Aid

    Provides instruction in First Aid , cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillation (AED) training to help manage sudden illnesses and injuries in the first few minutes until medical professional help arrives on location. Discusses and demonstrates management of injured and/or ill persons as recommended by the certifying agency.
