    DRAMA

Every year, Del Mar Drama produces six to seven main-stage productions and hosts or sponsors another three to four. Since 1986, the program has produced 90 plays involving over 2200 actors and technicians and has entertained over 76,000 patrons.

Our annual production season strives to entertain, enlighten and challenge our audiences, all the while providing our students an opportunity to learn a variety of dramatic literature and production styles. From Ancient Greek Drama, to Brecht, to Tennessee Williams, to Peter Shaffer's award winning play Equus, we continue to challenge our students with works that explore the most urgent human and social issues of our time. The concept of putting the students first in our educational theatre environment is a fundamental source of pride for Del Mar Drama.

The College is also the origin of the official Texas Jazz Festival, the Corpus Christi Symphony, and the Corpus Christi Chorale.
